I was thinking of doing graffiti/vandalism as my concept folio theme. I could find some pictures, but also walk around Providence and take pictures of walls,signs,watertowers,trains,etc.
Hi Ms.Mikels. So for my concept, I'm not sure on what exactly I want to do. My choices are between poetry, photography like contrasting between black&white photos to color photos, or either love. Which one do you think would make a better concept?
HEy liz i would go with the photography one because a few of us are doing concepts on love and to see the contrasting differences oh black and white would be a good idea.
Steve i really like the idea of new england sports because we have so many great teams but i also might be a hard topic to find everything we need on it.
If it wasn't for the crtiques I wouldn't have understand the meanings of the pictures. Now I know how important it is to understand the concept of each picture. If it wasn't for the critques, I would have not known what each picture meant.

For my concept folio i was thinking the topic "friendship". what do you think?

My topic for my concept folio is going to be the concept of Freedom.

For my concept, I was thinking of doing ballet.
The concept of comfort is a really good idea, i didnt even think of that.
The concept of love and hate is a great idea. You can work a lot on that subject.
Melissa, i think freedom is a great topic. i would of never thought of that.
Hey Ms. Mikels I think I'm going to do my concept on love. It will be a good concept and I'll be able to get a lot of stuff on it.
I really like michelle's and Jenn's idea.
I think I want to do my topic on love and the different types of it with family, friends, boyfriend, mother and daughter etc.
For my concept I was thinking of doing fear and use pictures that evoke certain fears or just scary images in general.
The concept of Freedom is another good idea. You can look up a lot of information on the political point of view.
cindy, i think emotions would be better. music is a big topic.
I think the topic of Graffiti is very different and it would be cool to see something thats thought to be vandalism as art.
My Idea is to love through the years. My idea is to show how love is shown at different ages and how it grows as you get older.

I was going to do the concept of fear, but i like that topic i think you will find a lot of really good pictures for your topic.

Love through the Years is such a different topic, it might be hard, but it sounds awesome.

The 7 deadly sins seems like a really good idea because you can get a lot of info and pictures on that topic.

Cindy i really like the idea of emotions i never thought about that. You can do so much with emotions
I decided to do happiness because there are many ways that you can show it. :)
liz, i think the blac and white idea is better, a lot of people are doing their's on love.
I think I'm going to do mine on the 7 Deadly sins. I'm going to balance all of them in my conceptfolio. It sounds like everyone has really good ideas.

Liz, I think poetry would be a good topic. You would have no problem finding good poems and pictures on that topic.

Colleen, shock is a good idea, you could also add surprise, if you can't find a lot on shock, because they are sort of the same concept

I really like the concept of grafiti/vandalism, too. It seems like you could get a lot of cool pictures to base your things on.
Cindy, I think that the concept of emotions would give you more specific pictures rather than music which is really broad.
